A study, comparing head-to-head clinical trials of cholesterol-lowering drugs, found that the pharmaceutical co that paid for the trial overwhelmingly came out on top. The researchers found favorable results were 20 times more likely when a drugs maker funded the study. Results of the study, conducted by scientists from the University of California San Francisco, were based on data from of 192 clinical trials.
