Beth Klein named to the "Fierce List"

More Magazine named Beth Klein as one of the "50 Women You Want on Your Side" in its May 2011 Edition.

Beth is named for writing the 2010 Colorado Anti-Human Trafficking Law that now brings human trafficking crimes as those prosecutable under racketeering laws.  This allows prosecutors to charge all participants in a human trafficking enterprise  with felonies.  These types of laws are used to break organized crime operations.

She is named with 49 other women known as the "Fierce List."  The women include:  Michelle Obama, Oprah Winfrey, Hillary Clinton, Supreme Court Justices Kagan, Ginsberg, and Sotomyayor, Sheryl Sandberg, Tina Brown, and Arianna Huffington. 

Says More; "They've got their nerve.  That's why we picked them - the best examples going of fortitude and attitude, endurance and resilience, true grit and true wit.  Their tireless transformers, bold blowers of the whistle, glass-ceiling smashers, and party crashers.  They're uppity and down to earth, tough and compassionate, graceful and invincible.  Survivors and revivers; resisters, insisters, sisters -- we say MORE power to you.

Beth, CONGRATULATIONS on your inclusion to the "Fierce List". You have always demonstrated sincere concern and strong desire to defend those who have been wronged and you have done so with intensity that parallels the description of "fierce". Hi Beth - Hope all is well. It was a pleasure to meet and talk with you last week. You fired me up to learn more about the laws in our state on human trafficking and I found out that NC Session Law 2007-547; Senate Bill 1079 is titled "An Act Providing Protections for Victims of Human Trafficking" is in place. I've read more stories and it makes me sick to think that humans can be so cruel to others and especially our children.
