Attorney Beth Klein Earns Membership in "Nation's Top One Percent"

Attorney Beth Klein has been awarded membership in the National Association of Distinguished Counsel’s “Nation’s Top One Percent.” NADC is an organization that seeks to promote the highest level of standards of legal excellence. In doing so, the organization seeks to recognize lawyers who elevate and maintain Bar standards and provide superior benchmarks for other attorneys to emulate. Due to the strict requirements and high level of expertise required for consideration, few practicing lawyers in the US are members of the “Nation’s Top One Percent”.

Understanding the Rigid Selection Process

Before attorneys are selected for inclusion, they must move through a rigorous, objective, and multistage process, which includes the following steps:

  1. An in-house research team or a nomination from certain individuals must identify a candidate. Acceptable nominations include those from fellow lawyers, former members of NADC, former clients, and current clients.
  2. After a lawyer has been nominated, NADC vetting researchers review the attorney’s:
  • Firm profile and reputation
  • Years of practice
  • Education
  • Training
  • Trial experience
  • Case outcomes
  • Peer endorsements
  • Client reviews
  • Professional awards and memberships
  • Leadership in legal organizations
  • Community involvement
  • Disciplinary status
  1. Once the results are gathered, a blue ribbon panel of lawyers studies the information. Lawyers on this panel have excelled and gained recognition from multiple independent organizations that are not associated with the NADC. During this part of the process, they evaluate the nominated attorney’s accomplishments, background, and prowess to ensure they can serve as examples to other lawyers.
  2. Finally, a judicial board, which is made up of former judges, assesses the nominated candidate. During this portion of the phase, the board finalizes the selection by choosing only those attorneys who display exceptional performance and reputation. A lawyer who has been invited for inclusion exhibits qualities to become an Officer of the Court and displays an admirable character in the course of practicing law.
