Carrie Frank has been handling product liability claims for over twenty years and has been involved in defective product cases involving vehicles, toys, medical devices, drugs and many other products. She has worked on defective product cases in Colorado and around the country against large and powerful corporations such as Toyota, Chrysler, Ford and GE. Carrie has not hesitated to represent individuals against big corporations that have caused catastrophic injuries to assist her clients in getting the justice they deserve.
Carrie has consistently been recognized as a leading attorney in her field, being voted a SuperLawyer by her peers since 2009 and also rated as one of the top 3000 attorneys by LawDragon for many years. Carrie also achieved the status of Diplomate from the American Association of Justice and she is only one of a handful of woman attorneys who has obtained that designation.
Carrie is active in the national and local trial lawyer associations. She was an officer in the American Association for Justice’s products liability section from 2003 to 2008 ending with her role as Chair of the section. She was also the newsletter editor for the products liability section of AAJ from 2003 to 2007. Carrie was a trustee on the Board of the National College of Advocacy, the teaching arm of AAJ. Carrie is also on the Board of Directors for the Colorado Trial Lawyers Association since 2000 and an officer since 2007. Carrie is currently Vice President of this organization and will lead CTLA as President starting in the summer of 2011.
Carrie is a sought after speaker and she teaches and speaks on national and local levels. She is the only woman attorney to teach on both of the inaugural programs: Rules of the Road College and the Mega College, presented by AAJ. She teaches other attorneys trial and communication skills and how to best present cases to juries. Carrie has also written on many topics including defective products and other litigation matters and was a co-author of “Auto Design Defect,” chapter 59, of ATLA’s Litigating Tort Cases, published by ATLA Press and Thompson-West.
In addition to Carrie’s work as an attorney, Carrie also has a national trial consulting practice. Carrie obtained a Master's degree in Social Work so that she could devote her career to working with people. She went to school in New York City, where she trained to be a therapist and then moved to Colorado and continued that work. Carrie’s therapy practice included work developing cohesive group dynamics and she uses that knowledge and skill in running and analyzing focus groups for other attorneys around the country to assist in preparing their cases for settlement and trial. In addition, Carrie aids attorneys in litigation presentations including sequencing, developing themes, looking for case problems and preparing opening statements.
