Beth has earned this distinction for her role in writing the 2010 Colorado Anti-Human Trafficking Law which makes human trafficking crimes prosecutable under racketeering laws, and which allows all prosecutors to charge all participants in a human trafficking enterprise with felonies. This law has been effective in breaking up organized crime operations. Now, legislators in other states are seeking Beth’s counsel to draft similar laws.
According to More Magazine, this honor is reserved for women who have shown “true grit and true wit,” and who are the best examples of “attitude, fortitude, resilience, and endurance.” Beth is among 49 other accomplished women to earn this prestigious honor, including Arianna Huffington, Tina Brown, Sheryl Sandberg, Supreme Court Justices Kagan, Ginsberg, and Sotomayor, Aung San Suu Kyi, Hillary Clinton, Oprah Winfrey, and Michelle Obama.
Says Beth, “My mantra is: No fear.”
