In observance of National Human Trafficking Awareness Day, the 2019 West Slope Human Trafficking Summit will be held on January 11 and Colorado Mountain College in Rifle.
The Summit is sponsored by the Klein Frank Foundation, which is a Colorado-based non-profit that concentrates its anti-trafficking efforts in law, community empowerment, and leadership development. The organization is run by Attorneys Carrie Frank and Beth Klein and operates based on the belief that “education, creating jobs, supporting economies, providing safety and rule of law for displaced and vulnerable people are the keys to stopping exploitation and human trafficking.”
Professionals and Rifle residents who have regular contact with members of the community are encouraged to attend the Summit in order to gain insight into how they can help identify and prevent trafficking. Participants will also gain an understanding of the laws surrounding human trafficking and gain valuable insight into what can be done to stop it.
The West Slope Human Trafficking Summit will take place from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM and is open to anyone who would like to become more involved in the work of eradicating human trafficking from the state of Colorado and the country as a whole. No matter your age or profession, we urge you to join our team at Klein Frank, P.C. in the fight to end human trafficking in our community.
