While young women are greatly affected by human trafficking, they aren’t alone. Men, children, foreign nationals, and individuals from all walks of life can be in danger of human trafficking. According to the Defense Department, sex trafficking rakes in an estimated $99 billion in profits each year, and more than $51 billion is made off of forced labor. Additionally, the statistics tell us that more than 4.5 million people are forced into forced sexual exploitation, while a staggering 21 million are victims of forced labor.
Some people may think these statistics aren’t applicable within the United States. However, the U.S. government reports that 1 in every 6 endangered runaways within our country are likely to become sex trafficking victims. Our attorneys at Klein Frank, P.C. want to change that number, and it is our mission to fight for the rights of those harmed by any type of human trafficking.
At Klein Frank, P.C., we are passionate about giving a voice to the voiceless, and we will do everything in our power to see human trafficking survivors get the justice they deserve. This month, we were proud to be involved in the Human Trafficking Summit, which fought to bring light to this issue, and we will continue our fight against this atrocity year-round.
We continually take a stand against internet trafficking, sex trafficking, forced labor, and all other types of injustices associated with these types of cases. We have made it our mission to see modern-day slave traders brought to justice and forced to answer for their crimes. Our attorneys know what trafficking survivors have been through, and we want to help.
If you or someone you love has been affected by human trafficking, our firm wants to speak with you. Contact Klein Frank, P.C. to discuss your case with our Boulder personal injury attorneys.
